Registration will be open from June 1, 2023, until July 31, 2023. Please see registration fees and division breakdown in the table below. Registrations received after August 1, 2023, will be subject to a late fee.

EMHA encourages everyone to register online.
However, there will be one in-person registration date for parents that are unable to complete the registration online, please keep an eye on the website for the in-person registration date to be posted.

NEW PLAYERS
Parents of new players MUST contact the Registrar ([email protected]) prior to paying online as the registrar must create the players profile in the registration system first. The registrar will email you a registration form that needs to be completed in full and emailed back to the registrar with a copy of the player’s birth certificate or passport. Once the profile is created, you will be notified to complete the Respect in Sport Parent Program (see details below) and complete registration payment.
RESPECT IN SPORT
The Respect in Sport Parent Program is a mandatory requirement by OMHA and MUST be completed by September 1, 2023. No player will be permitted on the ice until the program is completed. If you previously completed this program, it is still valid and will show up under certifications in the registration system. Please complete the program by following this link:

U8 & U9 TALBOT TRAIL BLAZER TRYOUTS
Tryouts for the Talbot Trail Blazers U8MD and U9MD will be held in the Fall of 2023. Please register and pay for local league at this time and keep an eye on the Travel Website (Essex / Southpoint Rep Hockey (essex-southpoint.com)) for further details about tryouts.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds will be prorated based on the number of weeks played up to December 22, 2023 after which time there will be no refund offered. All refunds will be subject to a $50 administrative fee.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
For families in need of financial assistance registration MUST be done manually by contacting the registrar ([email protected]). Financial assistance may be available through the Pathway to Potential (P2P) program and applicants are to read and understand the guidelines and contact the Town of Essex before registering your player(s).
1. All participants MUST provide proof of verification issued from the Town of Essex with an expiration of July 31, 2024.
2. All participants MUST be taking part in an activity that takes place in a Town of Essex facility.
3. All verifications will be processed at the Essex Recreation Complex (242 Talbot St N – attached to EDHS). Call 519-776-8992 for more information.
4. Verification forms will be valid until July 31, 2024 or until funding is exhausted.
5. A verification form is NOT proof of residency in the Town of Essex. Non-residents may be verified through our office for other purposes.
